So we drove to meet Sarah and Ian up in Queens. We left early thinking it shouldn’t be that bad driving in, but that we’d be prepared just in case. Well, only 1 lane was open going into the Lincoln tunnel, and while we were sitting in the car at a stand still we realized we would be late….try about an hour late.  Luckily Sarah and Ian gave us better directions for the ride home and we didn’t hit any traffic-thanks guys!!!

Anyway, THAT won’t happen again, and thankfully the light only got better the later the day got. So here are our favorites.

I love this classic silhouette with the bridge in the background.

the light was so beautiful up here!!

Ian works as a city planner and has a lot of great random knowledge about bridges and such.  This is his favorite bridge, called the Hell Gate bridge.  I’m glad we got to shoot under your favorite bridge!!

Sarah, I love your expression looking at Ian!  It’s the best!

We had no idea Astoria Park was so beautiful!  It was such a perfect place to have an engagement shoot.

We just HAD to stop at the Mister Softee and get an ice cream cone.  Sarah, you’re totally right it tastes so good when you’re eating it, then just makes you feel a little sick after your finished-it was worth it though!

So we just thought we would include a few “behind the scenes”… workin’ hard!  ;)

Thanks so much guys!  We had a really great time!  Can’t wait for the wedding!

Cheers,

Matt + Lauren
